Rekha Vyas to be seen showcasing shadow art as a Supermaker on Disney’s Imagine That 2

New Delhi: The recently launched Imagine That Season 2 has been gaining accolades from the audience for its innovative and creative ways of upcycling and DIY art.

With different DIYs each week, the show has managed to inspire so many kids around. In the second season of the show, the audience will get to witness new elements such as a ‘Supermaker’.

Supermakers are common people with a field of expertise in DIY, Upcycling, Pottery, Puppetry, etc. It is exciting to see people who are one of us get a chance to showcase their talent on a platform like Disney’s Imagine That Season 2.Bringing a variation in DIY art will be Delhi’s Rekha Vyas a Shadow Artist and a Supermaker on Imagine That Season 2.

Rekha developed a keen interest in the art of storytelling from a very young age and to pursue her interests she started a recreational center for kids. As an innovative attempt, Rekha started shadow art under the guidance of Mr. Amar Sen and Mr. Prahlad Acharya. Rekha’s love for shadow art grew so much that she started taking up full-time assignments.

As the show focuses on DIY art, Rekha shares that she has put together a fun shadow DIY kit for children with which they can create their own stories. Talking about the art of upcycling and DIY Rekha Vyas shares, “With the ongoing situation, it is important to educate children on the benefits of DIY and upcycling especially. Through Imagine That Season 2, Disney is introducing young kids to the importance of nurturing the environment. The DIYs showcased in our show are sure to inspire kids to use as many discarded products as possible while making them.”

Rekha is also an ardent follower of Disney since her childhood and to express her happiness she shares “Disney has been a pioneer when it comes to enhancing children’s imagination and creativity. We have all followed Disney shows over the years; the world that Disney creates in their shows is above and beyond the ordinary world which makes it different.”
